Apple iPad: What You Need To Know About The Latest Models

What Is the Apple iPad?

Apple iPad Definition: Apple’s iPad is a line of tablet computers, which is a cross between their iPod touch, iPhone, and Mac products. Apple combined several functions of these three products into the iPad. Here are some of the things you can do on this tablet device:

  • Browsing the Internet
  • Reading and sending emails
  • Listening to music
  • Taking pictures using the camera
  • Playing games.

Accessories such as the Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard complement the iPad experience. Its operating system, the iOS, is the same one that runs on iPhone and iPod touch. Most of the applications for these Apple products are also compatible with iPad. Mac OS X applications, on the other hand, are not compatible with iPad as it does not run on this operating system.

Currently, the Apple iPad is available in three models and five different sizes:

  • iPad — If you want an entry-level iPad model, go for the 9.7-inch iPad. It has the lowest price among the current iPad models available on the market, and it’s suitable for new users.
  • iPad mini — As the name implies, this is their smallest iPad model at 7.9 inches. Apple has not released a new iPad mini model since 2015, but it is still available for purchase.
  • iPad Pro — This is iPad’s high-end line and it’s available in three different sizes (10.5, 11, and 12.9 inches). iPad Pro’s advanced technology and functions make this device a powerful tablet computer.

What’s New in the Apple iPad Lineup
