Elevator buttons are already obsolete

Did you ever wonder why technology changes so fast? I think I found the answer. It’s because the next generation is always demanding more.

Take my six year old son for example. The first time he printed something from my laptop he bound over to the laser printer full of excitement. Excitement, that is, that quickly turned to disappointment when he saw the page he had just printed.

“Daddy, how come it printed everything in black?”

Or like today when my son hopped on an elevator with me and pressed the button for our destination floor like he always loves to do. But then he looked at me and said, “Dad, wouldn’t it be cool if elevators had a microphone in them and you could just speak the name of the floor you wanted to go to?”

Seriously people, I don’t make this stuff up.
