What do you get when you mix Mr. Noobie, the Indiana State Fair and a GoPro camera?

Mr. Noobie Indiana State Fair GoPro

I really love my job. Some days I spend the day teaching people how to use technology. Other days I spend the day playing with new technology and discovering what I can do with it.

Earlier this week I did the latter. Thanks to some behind-the-scenes help from www.verizonwireless.com, the Indiana State Fair and North American Midway Entertainment, I was allowed to spend the afternoon at the Indiana State Fair riding the Midway rides with a Verizon GoPro camera strapped to my chest.

The result? Some fantastic point-of-view footage of the rides, ranging from the kiddie Ferris Wheel to the thrilling Speed/Mach 3 ride. Mix in some on-the-ground footage and a short opening and closer and you get a series of fantastic and fun-to-watch videos. Special thanks to Katherine, an intern at the Indiana State Fair, who put together the final videos.

I hope you have as much fun watching the videos as I did making them. And yes, I did scream like a little girl on the bigger rides at least once.
