Wondering whether your friends and family are safe after a major disaster can be a stressing time. Facebook aims to make letting others know you are safe easier with Facebook Saftey Check. If a disaster occurs and Facebook determines you are near the disaster, it will ask you to indicate if you are safe. It will also do the same for all of your Facebook friends in the area. You can then view a status of how many of your friends are in the affected area, how many have marked they are safe and how many have not responded. Learn more.
