Hello, this is Patric Welch, otherwise known as Mr. Noobie®. And this is the Weekly Wrap-up with Mr. Noobie for Friday, November 18th, 2011.

Well, we’re coming up on Thanksgiving next week and you know what that means, right? No, I’m not talking about stuffing ourselves silly with turkey and watching the (ahem) 10-0 Packers take on the Detroit Lions. I’m talking about Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

If you’re not familiar with the terms, Black Friday is latin for “wake up as early as possible the day after Thanksgiving to get trampled in shopping malls in order to get a low-end portable DVD player for $12”. And Cyber Monday is latin for “pretend to be working on a spreadsheet when your boss walks by so she doesn’t see how many items you have in your Amazon.com shopping cart.”

But seriously, if you do your planning ahead of time, there really are some good deals to be had. Myself, I’m more of a Cyber Monday kind of guy. In fact, I’d rather have a triple root canal than to brave the brick and mortar stores on Black Friday.

But I’m not going to lie to you. It can be equally as hard to keep up with the online deals as it is with the brick and mortar deals. Which is why I will once again be using Noobie’s Facebook page to post the very best deals that fly across my radar this holiday season.

So if you’d rather goof off on Facebook than brave the stores this holiday season, head on over to Noobie’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/noobie and click the “Like” button. Then just continue goofing off on Facebook. When a new deal pops up, I’ll post it to Noobie’s Facebook page and it will show up in your personal news feed.

If you’re one of those that actually prefers getting work done during the day, then just check back in to Noobie’s Facebook page at the end of the day for a running list of deals posted that day.

Now, before I go, I want to take a serious minute to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. I hope you all have something to be thankful for. I know I do. And for those of you with loved ones that can’t be with you this week because they are busy defending our country’s freedom, I wish them a Happy Thanksgiving as well, wherever they are, and a safe return home as quickly as possible.

That’s it for this week’s edition of the Weekly Wrap-up with Mr. Noobie®. I’m Patric Welch, otherwise known as Mr. Noobie, and I’ll see you next week.
