What is iOS?

iOS is the name for the operating system that runs on Apple’s iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch devices. In other words, it is the software that controls the look and feel of the device.

When you touch an icon on your Apple device and it launches an app, it is iOS that is handling the task.

Each new version of iOS that Apple releases offers bug fixes and other enhancements to the device.
