Could your mobile phone survive a field of soccer players?

I’m in shock that my LG Env2 mobile phone still works. Last night during my 7-year-old son’s soccer game, I noticed that the drawstring on his soccer shorts had come untied and needed some adjusting. Being a good dad I waited until the half ended and then ran over to the other side of the field to re-tie the drawstring.

Little did I know that my mobile phone had fallen out of its case and on to the field of play when I made my dart across the field.

Worse yet, I didn’t realize my mobile phone was missing until the game was over.

Easiest way to find a missing mobile phone

I figured the easiest way to find it was to call my mobile phone with another mobile phone. I knew this trick would help me locate my phone but I wasn’t quite sure what would be left of the phone when I found it.

My phone had been sitting on the field for 24 minutes of game time. A game that included 10 aggressive soccer kids, all wearing cleats and all running every which way on the field.

I’ll never know how many times my mobile phone was stepped on. I just know that it still works.

LG, if you’re listening, this would make a great commercial. Oh, and my son just happens to be available to star in it.
