Review: iClever fast wireless charger and quick charge USB wall charger

I can charge my Samsung Galaxy S8 either by setting it on a wireless charger or by plugging it into an electrical outlet. Which method I use to charge my phone usually depends on how fast I need my phone charged.

If I’m sitting at my desk in my office, I set my phone on the wireless charger. It takes longer to charge but it gets the job done and I’m usually in no hurry. When I am in a hurry, I’ll plug my phone in to charge it and activate the fast charging feature of my Galaxy S8.

I know what you’re thinking. My phone already came with a USB wall charger (power adapter) so why do I need this one? Well, if you’re like me, I like to have an extra power adapter for when I travel. Sure, I can grab the one I use at home but honestly, it’s easier to just always have an extra one packed rather than remember to take the one plugged in at home with me every time I travel.

Usually, my extra power adapter is a normal power adapter, meaning it will charge my phone but it won’t activate the fast charging feature. That’s usually “good enough” for charging my phone on the road.

But, now I can have the best of both worlds. I still leave my Samsung power adapter at home and I keep the iClever one in my travel bag. Use both at once

One thing to note about the wireless charger. If you don’t plug in the charging pad to a fast charging power source, it won’t do fast charging. That’s why I put both these products in the same review. If you plug the iClever wireless charger into the iClever USB wall charger, you’re in business, fast charging the whole way (assuming your phone supports it).

Also keep in mind, that both of these devices are “smart” in that they will auto-sense what device they are charging. The wireless charger will charge both regular and fast charging phones as long as they support wireless charging in general. The USB wall charger will auto adapt to whatever type of device you connect to it, fast charging or not.
