Noobie announces new holiday gift guide
I have spent the past 4 years working very hard to educate noobies about electronics and technology in general. In some cases I have gone to great lengths to spell out exactly what to look for when buying a new digital camera, GPS or other gadget.
But, despite my efforts, when I am done there is always one person who will come to me and ask…
“Which one do you recommend?”
See, people are all the same. My plumber could go on for 20 minutes about what to look for in a new kitchen faucet but in the end I’m just going to ask him or her which one he recommends. Same with my electrician. He could spend hours telling me the pros and cons of different wires and switches but ultimately I’ll still just ask him which one he would get.
Your wish has been granted
So I’ve finally listened (and wised up) and have granted your technology wish. Introducing the Noobie Gift Guide. A simple listing of what products Noobie recommends. Looking for a digital camera? Better than a “buyer’s guide”
When you look at the Noobie Gift Guide, keep one thing in mind. It is not a buyer’s guide. I did not take the top 20 cameras and review them all so you could make an informed decision. Rather, I made the decision for you.
No need to think. No need to compare. Just pick your category then browse the very short list of products. Clicking on each product will display a few short sentences on why Noobie recommends the product. If you agree, buy it. If not, keep looking.
