How should parents monitor their kids’ smartphone usage?

If there’s one thing I know for sure it’s that parents are all over the map on their opinions on when (if at all) kids should be allowed to have their own smartphone. It’s an even bigger can of worms trying to figure out how to monitor a child’s smartphone usage once they are allowed to have their own smartphone.

That’s why I created the poll below. I’m hoping not only to collect some valuable data but also to spur on some discussion as to how you monitor your own children’s smartphone usage.
