Sell or swap those gift cards
Q: Is there any place on the Internet that I can sell my gift card I received for Christmas?
A: There are several web sites that will buy your gift cards or allow you to swap your gift card for another one of similar value.
One such site is GiftCardBuyBack, which can be found at www.giftcardbuyback.com. To sell your card just go to the site, find the merchant and enter your gift card’s current value.
I entered a $25.00 Chili’s gift card just for fun and the site told me they would give me $20.00 for the card with no additional shipping charges.
You can also use this same site to buy gift cards that other people have sold, usually at a 5% discount off the face value of the gift card.
If you prefer swapping your gift card for another, try CertificateSwap at www.certificateswap.com or SwapAGift at www.swapagift.com.
Although these sites are targeted directly towards people buying or selling gift cards, you might also want to try selling your gift card on eBay to reach a much larger audience.
