Efficiency is the ability to produce more output with less input. This means that it requires less time, energy, or materials to produce the desired outcome. Efficiency can be achieved in many ways: by working smarter, by being better at time management, or by using fewer resources than other people would use or need for a similar task.

The word “efficient” comes from the Latin word “efficere” which means “to do” or “to bring about” and was first used in English around 1660.

Me personally? I strive to be efficient with everything I do in my life. Sometimes maybe a little too efficient.

For instance, when I shower I like to listen to music. But I don’t like wasting precious shower time listening to radio commercials or songs on the radio I don’t like.

Start with Pandora

This is exactly why I shower with the Pandora app on my iPad. Pandora is a music streaming service that has been around since 2000. It is the world’s most popular music streaming service, with over 140 million active users and more than 70 million subscribers.

Pandora is a personalized radio station that plays songs similar to what you like, but it is not always perfect. The company has been improving its algorithms to make the experience better for its customers by introducing new features like Pandora Premium and Pandora Plus.

Pandora also offers a “thumbs up” or “thumbs down” feature which lets listeners provide feedback on songs they enjoy or dislike. This feedback helps Pandora learn what listeners like and dislike so that it can play more of the music they want to hear.

With Pandora, I get to play exactly the music I want. Not to mention, I can tailor the music to my shower mood. Early morning wake-up shower? That’s when I fire up my Boston station. Post-workout relaxation shower? My George Benson channel fits the bill perfectly.

Add In a Portable Speaker

Of course, my iPad doesn’t exactly pump out the sound which is why I use a portable Bluetooth speaker. If you are so inclined, you can even find a speaker designed specifically to use in your shower.

Portable speakers are small and can be carried around easily. They are usually used for listening to music. The sound quality is not as good as the sound from a home stereo system but it is enough for most people.

The most popular portable speakers are Bluetooth enabled, meaning you can connect them to your phone or laptop with a Bluetooth connection. You can also use a cable to connect them, but this is not as convenient.

Shower. Pandora. Music I love. Efficient. Just the way I like it.
